Time to be Thankful

Times are busy. There’s so much to do all the time. The housing market is leveling off. There’s another stack of bills to go through. And the dog and cat are both asking to be fed. Is there no peace?

If your pets seem to be a bother, here’s some things to consider:

-studies show that owning a pet reduces your blood pressure

-it teaches children to be responsible

-pets offer us unconditional love.

-take a moment, every day, to walk with your dog and watch the joy in his eyes

-get a new toy for you cat, and watch what she does

-think of other unique pets that offer peace or companionship (guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, even snakes and fish!)

-children that grow up with pets have a lower incidence of asthma and allergies.

-hold your purring cat on your chest and feel the vibes

-watch the peace on your pet’s face when they’re sleeping

-they don’t ask for money or the car keys

-they don’t smoke or drink

-if they get pregnant, you can sell their kids

“Animals are such agreeable friends – they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms” ~ George Eliot

Till next time, Dr. Steve
